My name is Lisa Raines and I am the technology facilitator at Morehead City Middle School. I was a French teacher and a yearbook advisor at East Carteret High School for 11 years before switching over to technology. I hold a B.A. in French from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and hope to begin working on my Masters of Instructional Technology in the near future.
Most of what I have learned about computers in the early years, I learned through professional development in the Carteret County School system. When I was in college, computers were just coming into their own and the Internet was still in its infancy. So I started learning on a PowerMac 5400 and fell in love with computers. I appreciate my background in teaching because it has prepared me to be a technology facilitator where I aid teachers in developing lessons that integrate technology into their curriculum.
